It’s been some time since I sent out an update via Substack or email, but I’m really happy about two things, which are all driven by the new and improved disalvotraining.com.
If you click, you’ll find a redesigned site that is extremely easy to navigate and get in touch with anyone at the gym for training, online training, nutrition services (coming very soon), articles and a lot more. Just fill out the form at the bottom of any page you visit.
If nothing else, I’d appreciate if you all took a look or send it to someone who may be interested in what we do.
The future of this Substack and where you can find what I write
One thing working on the website has revealed to me is how to best share all the writing I do. With the help of Lucas and Frank from Straightforward Growth, I came to realize the best place to house written content about bigger training concepts is disalvotraining.com, whereas the best place to address the individual ideas, observations from the gym, and more raw insights on my methods is right here on Substack (or in your inbox if that’s where you read it).
What this means is that if you go to disalvotraining.com, you’ll see new articles there each week that pertain largely to macro level training topics. For example, you’ll see an article I wrote last week on strength training for athletes, why it’s a good idea, and how we generally organize that training.
This Substack is now going to be more of a training journal, discussion starter and place to share ideas— and man, do I have a lot of ideas these days. Between Arian Carpio’s Olympic Qualifying prep, and welcoming former ADCC World Champion Matheus Diniz to the team of athletes at DPT as he preps for ADCC 2024, we have lot to discuss and share.
I’ll check in with everyone later this week, as we have multiple things you can sink your teeth into.
Thanks everyone!
